This Privacy Policy explains how Crypt Prices ("the App", "we", "us", "our") handles information when you use the App. Crypt Prices is an unofficial companion app for the game Dark and Darker. By using the App, you agree to this Privacy Policy.

Who we are

Crypt Prices is developed by Nicolas Pla ("the Developer"). You can contact us at support@cryptpricesapp.com.

Information we collect

The App is designed to work without you creating an account or providing your name, email address, or other directly identifying information. We collect:

Anonymous identifier: When you first open the App, we create an anonymous account for you. This is a random identifier that lets your data sync to your device. It is not linked to your name or email address.
Your in-app content: Items you favorite, character builds you create, price alerts you set, and your alert history are stored under your anonymous identifier in our cloud database so they persist across reinstalls and devices.
Notification token: If you enable price-alert notifications, we store a push notification token so our server can send you those alerts.
Usage and diagnostics: We use an analytics service to understand how the App is used (for example, which screens are opened) and a crash-reporting service to receive crash reports and basic device information (such as device model and operating system version) so we can fix problems.
Anti-abuse: We use an app-attestation service to help confirm that requests come from genuine installs of the App.
Subscription status: If you purchase the optional Supporter subscription, the App Store or Google Play processes the payment. Through our subscription-management provider, we receive your subscription status and a purchase identifier so we can unlock supporter features. We do not receive your full payment card details.

We do not collect your name, email address, contacts, photos, or precise location.

Market data and DarkerDB

Live market prices and game data are provided by a third-party data provider, DarkerDB (https://darkerdb.com). When you look up or track an item, the item you searched for is sent to DarkerDB to retrieve its prices. We do not send your name, your anonymous identifier, your device's IP address, or any other information that identifies you, and DarkerDB cannot identify you from these requests. DarkerDB's handling of data is governed by its own Privacy Policy at https://darkerdb.com/privacy-policy.

How we use information

To provide and sync your favorites, builds, price alerts, and alert history
To send the price-alert notifications you have set
To understand how the App is used and to improve it
To diagnose crashes and fix bugs
To process and restore the optional Supporter subscription
To protect the App against abuse

We do not sell your personal information.

Service providers

We share information only with providers that help us host and operate the App, under agreements that require them to protect it and use it only to provide their services to us. These include:

Cloud hosting, database, and messaging providers that run the App's backend, store your in-app content, and deliver notifications
Analytics and crash-reporting providers that help us understand usage and diagnose problems
A subscription-management provider that tracks your Supporter subscription status
The app store you downloaded the App from, which processes subscription payments
DarkerDB, for live market and game data, as described above

Data retention

We keep your in-app content (favorites, builds, alerts, and alert history) until you delete it or ask us to delete it. Analytics and crash data are retained according to our analytics and crash-reporting providers' policies.

Your choices and rights

You can:

Remove favorites, builds, and alerts at any time within the App
Disable notifications in your device settings
Delete your account and all associated data at any time from Tavern → About & Legal → Delete my data. This permanently erases your builds, favorites, price alerts, alert history, custom items, and your anonymous account from our systems. It cannot be undone.
Request deletion by contacting us at support@cryptpricesapp.com if you are unable to use the in-app option

Note: purchase and subscription records held by Apple, Google, and our subscription-management provider may be retained by them as required for financial and legal recordkeeping, even after you delete your account.

Depending on where you live (for example, the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or California), you may have additional rights such as access, correction, deletion, and the right to object to processing. To exercise these rights, contact us at support@cryptpricesapp.com.

Data location

The App's infrastructure is hosted in the United States. If you use the App from outside the United States, your information will be transferred to and processed in the United States.

Children

The App is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us at support@cryptpricesapp.com.

Changes to this Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above. Your continued use of the App after changes take effect means you accept the updated Policy.
